After working on six productions in a row Perth raised Ben Young returns to Perth. Backlot and PAC Workshops are proud to offer two unique masterclasses for WA writers, directors and actors to deepen their craft skills. The first is a two Saturday Essential Screenwriting workshop held over the last Saturday of March and first Saturday of April. The second masterclass is a Directing Actors practical workshop where 12 Actors will be given scenes written by Ben to perform in a mock audition setting. They will be directed by Ben and receive copies of their footage. Directors and Writers are encouraged to enrol in this masterclass as observers to learn invaluable techniques to nurture the best possible performances from actors for screen. Viewing the performances on Backlot’s cinema screen will provide insights into what works and doesn’t for film.
